UC Consortium on AAPI Policy & Community Priorities
Building Strong Partnerships
We Aim to:
- Organize UC researchers investigating issues affecting AA & NH/PI communities
- Build interest for next round of RFPs from the AAPI Data project
- Build campus interest in attending at a UC-wide strategy session on building stronger research infrastructure (virtual)
- Collaborate with other UC leaders for on-campus meetings with relevant administrative leaders and allies including in various schools, research centers, and offices of research
Training / Support Networks
We provide training and support networks to create community and resources for UC research faculty, focused on support Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities.
Learn about other UC faculty and their research interests. Take advantage of this network to gain mentorship or to collaborate on future research projects together.
Gain understanding of various types of media (newspaper/digital, radio/TV) and how to grow public recognition and impact.
Gain understanding of various types of governmental entities and their impact on our work. Learn to leverage their networks to support, inform, and to make your research more impactful.
Gain understanding of various types of academic funding, private foundations, and donors and their interests to better tailor grant proposals to be mutually beneficial.
