Distinguished Professor, History She/Her/Hers I am a historian of late imperial and modern China and the Chinese maritime. My current project, on maritime China, explores the following: a) Chinese constructions of the maritime as domains of sovereignty and territorialization; b)Chinese diaspora and the cultural constructions of de-territorialized Chineseness; c) the transformation of Taiwan as a site where the diverging trends and the geo-strategic dynamics intersect. I am interested in related issues both of internal laws and national constructions. Email: sha@berkeley.edu Website: https://history.berkeley.edu/wen-hsin-yeh LinkedIn:
