He/Him/His
I am a social and legal historian of the United States specializing in immigration. My major areas of research are the history of US immigration law and policy; xenophobia and nativism in the US; and transnational history. I am currently writing books on the politics of labor importation from Asia, Canada, Europe, and Mexico to the United States between the 1880s and 1920s and on Japanese immigrants’ relationships with US immigration laws to 1924.
